Honors

As someone who enjoys a good competition, I have won a number of awards, ranging from academic scholarships to chess tournaments.

When I was 11 years old, I decided to attend a preparatory school that was known for its chess program. Since then, I went on to win multiple chess trophies both individually and for my school. More details can be found on my Hobbies page.

In addition to being known for chess, I was also very active in musical theater and choir. I was classically trained by my mentor, Elaine Bonda, who used to perform in New York Metropolitan Opera. Throughout my high school career, I performed in the Florida All-State Women's Choir, Florida All-State Mixed Choir, and the Florida All-State Reading Choir, the most difficult choir to achieve (which requires perfect sight-reading while singing).

When I graduated, I won my high school's coveted Founder's Council Award for Excellence in Vocal Music.

In post-secondary education, I was awarded a merit scholarship from my college, The University of Michigan in 2002, and the Mary Pickford Award from 2008 - 2009 from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
